Wonderful Photos from the Ordinations Weekend 2025! |

A former nurse, a political speech writer, a classical musician and speech and language therapist were amongst 12 people who were ordained as deacons at a joyful service at Winchester Cathedral on Sunday 29 June. In her sermon, Bishop Rhiannon said that these "new clergy are right at the start of their new journey as ordained ministers. Whether as chaplains or in parishes, their job is to serve people and communities, and as such they get the honour of weeping with those who weep and rejoicing with those who rejoice.”
On Saturday evening, 15 people were also ordained priest at the Cathedral and many will have presided at Holy Communion for the first time the next day in their home parishes. See the full list of deacons and priests here >>> |
