Inspiring testimonies were given by a few of those confirmed, including Zack Bowers, who reflected, “For quite some time now, I’ve felt a growing pull toward something deeper - something more meaningful. I’m being confirmed today to commit my life to Christ”. |

The ‘Racing Reverend’ Talks About His Passions and Faith |
Revd Simon Butler from St Mary’s Church at Upton Grey has captured the attention of the world’s media with his passion for car racing, becoming known as the ‘Racing Reverend’. He said, "What I think I'm doing is slightly monastic. I'm going into a place of simplicity, where only one thing matters, winning races when we're on the track." |

Prayer Vigil for All Affected by Gender-Based Violence |
25 November, 12-2pm, Outside Winchester Cathedral West Door
This prayer vigil is organised by Mothers' Union in solidarity with 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, a UN initiated campaign that runs from 25 November to 10 December every year. All are invited to join the vigil for a while, or the full 2 hours if they wish. |

Clergy Partner Network Events |
The Diocese of Winchester Clergy Partner Network (CPN) exists to bring clergy partners together across the diocese, have fun, provide support and create connections. Next month there are two opportunities to get together - a meal out on 12 November in Winchester (book here) and an Advent Morning Retreat on 22 November at Wisdom House, Romsey (book here). Reflection from Open Doors |
Howard Satterthwaite, who works for Open Doors, a charity which serves persecuted Christians around the world, reflected that: "The persecuted church has widened my eyes to the battle we face here in the UK, and why following Jesus can be hard even without open persecution. Their witness challenges and encourages us – and may even be the spark we need to see renewal and revival in the UK."

National Churches Trust’s Medium Grants Programme |
Grants of up to £10,000 are available to churches preparing for a major project, or those looking to develop a project to the point at which they can approach a major grant funder. The National Churches Trusts' Medium Grants Programme is also now able to offer grants for urgent and essential maintenance and repair projects. The deadline for applications is 16 December 2025. |
