Around 70 people were baptised in the sea at Bournemouth on Sunday as hundreds gathered on the beach to watch. It's like washing myself clean and strengthening my relationship with Jesus.”

All Saints Church Engage and Survey Local Community |
All Saints Church recently hosted 'Love Millbrook', a fundraising event which included a table-top sale, free refreshments, soft play, and several wellbeing stands. Working alongside the Southampton City Council community engagement team and Millbrook Matters (community action group), the church not only raised funds for future events, they were also able to recruit several more volunteers.
As a way to get the community more involved, the All Saints team also created a survey asking for input in what the church space can be used for to support the local community. |

First Solar Panels Installed on a Winchester Church Building! |
Last week, Christ Church Winchester was amongst the first churches in our diocese to install solar panels, as part of their big project to transform their building and community. Liz Ord, Operations Director, said, "The 9kW solar panel system will reduce our church's carbon footprint, generate significant cost savings and enable us to show our commitment to the Church of England's net zero target!" |

Church Fire Anniversary Service at All Saints Mudeford |
Last Sunday, Revd Kathy Hicken led a service to mark the third anniversary of the fire at All Saints Mudeford, outside the shell of the building.
Church members have toiled on the rebuild project for the last three years, and at long last, the start of the rebuilding of the church and Community Hub is just around the corner! All are welcome to attend the next fundraising event which is a Tea Tent at Mudeford Arts Festival on 26-27 July. |

Mission and Ministry Learning Community Celebration |
Last week there was a special evening at Old Alresford Place, gathering the 50 people from across the diocese have been taking part in a new online course called 'Exploring Theology', alongside all those who have been training this year on our Licensed Ministry pathway towards either Ordination or Licensed Lay Ministry. Everyone was celebrating the end of another fantastic year of study and formation and saying farewell to those who are leaving us this summer to begin their ministry in their parishes.
It was wonderful to gather the whole of our thriving and supportive community together for reflection, refreshments and worship where we were encouraged by Bishop Rhiannon (and to celebrate her birthday with a delicious cake!).
If you are interested in exploring faith in more depth, we’d love to hear from you >>> |

New Series of Reflections on Faith & Generosity |
'Talking Faith & Generosity' is a new monthly resource produced by the diocese, offering reflections that draw on one or more readings from the Common Worship Lectionary for the chosen week. It can be used for preaching or personal reflection. The theme for this month's reflection is forgiveness, looking at Luke 11:1-13. Watch this space for more reflections to come! |
