Revd Garry Roberts said, “He is one of my most regular church members! He was very put out that he was not able to join the Electoral Roll! He's been to morning services, evensong, funerals but this was his first wedding." |

Congratulations to Kate Fletcher, who was commissioned as an Anna Chaplain in the South Downs Benefice on Sunday! Pictured here with vicar of her home benefice St Luke's Stanmore, Revd Marianne Foster, the Rector of the Downs Benefice Revd Kevin Rogers, Bishop Philip, and Debbie Thrower, founder of Anna Chaplaincy.
Kate said, "This job is an absolute joy. Yes, there are times of sadness, but to be able to be present and walk alongside those adjusting to change is a privilege. Anna Chaplaincy is vital. Church is not just those that follow or are the future. It is also those that have gone before and those that are still here. Change to our chronological age, physical capability or mental health does not change who we are inside." |

Sharing the Sad News of the Death of Father Reginald Sweet |
With great sadness, we announce the recent death of Father Reginald Sweet, who served the St Cross community for over 21 years, and was in ministry for 63 years. The Revd Dominik Chmielewski, Rector of the Parish of St Faith, said, "He was respected and much loved for his kindness, generosity and a wonderful sense of humour, by all who met him. His wisdom and faithful priestly ministry touched and changed countless lives. He died peacefully surrounded by his loved ones. He will be greatly missed." |
